Reviews
We LOVED this place for the experience we had, although, we didn't love our RV spot right next to the railroad tracks. Would have loved a heads up on that, they were not full. So we would have appreciated a spot away from the tracks. Everything else was amazing. Walking distance to the brewery and distillery. And the train station.
We stayed in the RV Park, checkin went smoothly, our hostess provided an easy to understand map, explained the Park's amenities and was very helpful. Train noise was almost nonexistent, BNSF only came by a few times. Park clean, well maintained and we look forward to our next visit!
Thorough and excellent service with a smile upon entering the RV Park. Now, that's the way to greet customers!
Well stocked store inside the office building. Dog kennel to the side of the office for boarding while on long or overnight trips in the area.
We really enjoyed this campsite.
Location is awesome:
It is 1.5 blocks from the main historic strip in downtown Williams.
It is also about a block away from the train ride to the grand canyon (highly recommend taking).
It is across the street from a good brewery, 1.5 blocks to Safeway and Dairy Queen.
2 blocks from a dog friendly beer garden.
1 hour drive to the Grand Canyon.
Check-in:
Check-in was easy and is across the street from the campground. It shares access to the dog kennel. They can board your dog/s if you take the train. They sell some essentials at check-in and beer. They do require pads under your jacks so make sure you bring yours along if you don't have them already. They also ask that you have sidewinders for you sewage (per the note on the door to the bathrooms which indicates you may be fined if you don't). Upon check-in, they give you a key card which gives you access to the bathrooms/laundry facility (located in the middle of the campground )along with access to the hotel's pool and hot tub.
Noise:
Overall, this campground is very quite. We had a back in site that backed up to the railroad. The BNSF runs about 3-4 times a day. So yes, it is loud when the train goes by but it isn't going by very often. There seems to be at least one that runs in the middle of the night. The train does blow it's horn as it has to cross the intersection next to the campground. However, we didn't find it too intrusive and it was a good trade off to be so close to everything.
Site:
Each site is on a slab and the campground has a paved path around to the sites. The sites are pretty level. Every site has full hook up and cable. There is a gravel path around the outer edge of the campground for you to take your dog for a walk. In addition, they have waste bags so you can clean up any messes on your walk. The bathroom/shower facility is very clean, bright and inviting. They have several washers and dryers available as well. In front of the bathrooms is a large pavilion. We have both T-mobile and Verizon and had zero issues streaming or completing remote work.
We had a great visit to Willams. Fun Route 66 district, rode to train to the Grand Canyon . Don’t miss this on your art. 66 journey.
We stayed in the RV park which has access to hotel pool and hot tub. This was a wonderful stay, very clean and staff were fabulous!!! We actually had to extend stay for medical reasons and they were so accommodating. Highly recommend this camp ground! Walking distance to historic downtown, nice playground for children and very quite campground. The train track does run by the park, but it was not as annoying as I first thought. We will definitely stay here again when in this area!!!
We stayed at the RV park, so my room rating is for that. They are full service drive thru sites, but to close together. Felt more like a parking lot. We did ride the train to the grand canyon, that was cool family friendly and well worth the price. Bring a few $1 or $5 something for tipping the entertainment.
Helpful staff, nice laundry rooms, showers and restrooms. Access to Hotel pool.
Very convenient location for Route 66 and The Train.
Also a fun western cowboy show before you board the Train. Or you can check it out at 8:45am, even if you don’t ride the train that day.
It was Very windy in late April when we stayed.
